How ISO Registration Certified a Uniform Rental Company’s Facilities

HOW ISO REGISTRATION CERTIFIED A UNIFORM RENTAL COMPANY’S FACILITIES (DEMO)

UniFirst, a company dealing with uniform rentals, recently saw two of its industrial laundry facilities (in Dothan, AL and Titusville, FL) awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification. According to the company report, this was due to their “quality management systems for cleaning and servicing customers’ work apparel and for providing facility service products.” They were able to earn the certification through an ISO registration process that required them to document their workflow processes in detail in order to show their efficiency.
According to Francis Finlan, general manager of the Titusville facility, “Being awarded this certification underscores our commitment to that objective.” He also said that it is their business objective to give customers the best service possible, which is one of the key factors to see to in order to become ISO-certified. 04 A quality management system, or QMS, is a set of policies, procedures, and processes that is required for planning and implementation in an organization’s core business area. QMS seeks to identify the external quality-related requirements mentioned in the selected management standards, customer requirements, guidelines, and Licenses to Trade. It seeks to make sure that all requirements are met and to document these along with any records or proof. It also includes processes that will help the continued improvement of the quality system. An ISO 9001 certificate is suitable for organization of any size, ensuring that the quality management systems are adopted and that business is improved. Some of the benefits that organizations get are: being able to determine areas of responsibility throughout the organization, being informed of lacking areas, being able to determine marketing opportunities, reducing costs, and more. It also ensures customers that they are given improved quality and service, less errors, and on-time deliveries. ISO 9001 certification starts with learning about it and its requirements, then performing a gap analysis, preparing a project plan, training employees on ISO 9001, documenting the system, implementing the ISO QMS, auditing the QMS, then finally, having an ISO 9001 registration audit. Companies such as the International Standards Authority can help an organization through the certification process, with their auditors highly capable of making sure that audits are as efficient as possible.
